Rabbit Run Theater, in Madison, Ohio, opens its 2016 summer season with the comedy “You Can’t Take it With You”.

Written by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, this Pulitzer Prize-winning production opens Friday, June 3, and runs through Saturday, June 18.

Let the world think what it may, The Sycamore family live moment by moment for the sheer joy of living. A little quirky and off the wall, they meet the world head on, eyes unflinching. The apple cart is really upset, though, when granddaughter Alice falls for Tony Kirby, son of Anthony P. Kirby, one of the country’s most wealthy and powerful men.

Playing the role of Grandpa is Jack Warren, who has performed and directed in numerous theaters in Northeast Ohio including Aurora Community Theater, Chagrin Valley Little Theatre and Geauga Lyric Theatre Guild.

Alice Sycamore is portrayed by Cari Meixner, a musical theatre major at Kent State University. Sandy Kosovich Peck is playing Alice’s mother, Penny Sycamore. Peck has performed in and directed numerous shows at Rabbit Run and is a theater faculty member at The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby. Alice’s love interest, Tony Kirby, is portrayed by J. J. Luster.
