In honor of the 20th anniversary of the event, Medina’s 2015 “Walk with Spirits of the Past” will feature all new stories about significant individuals in Medina’s past.  These dramatic performances about Medina history, presented at various locations on or near Medina Square, are given by actors from Medina County Show Biz Company and are directed by Donna Bica. The event is co-sponsored by Show Biz, the Medina County Historical Society, and the Medina County Arts Council. The Walk is scheduled for September 10, 11, 12, and 13, 2015. The six new stories about important people and their roles in Medina history have been researched and written by JoAnn King, Judy Totts, Roger Smalley, and Donna Bica.

The times for scheduled walks are 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, September 11 and 12.  In advance, tickets will be sold at Ormandy’s, on Public Square in Medina.  On the day of each event, you must buy them at the beginning point of the walk: the County Administration Building, 144 N. Broadway in Medina.  The advance sale price is $5 for adult tickets and $2 for children 12 and under.  On the day of a “Walk” tickets will be available only at the point where the Walk begins, and will cost $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.  The walk is accessible.

On Sunday afternoon, September 13, a special indoor performance will be presented at Miss Molly’s on W. Washington Street which will let the audience “Dine with Spirits of the Past” at an English Tea served beginning at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets for the Tea are $24.  Reservations are required for this performance and may be made by calling 330-725-6830 at least a day in advance.  Seating is limited, so early reservations are advised.

Co-chairs of the Spirit Walk Committee are: Carl Becks, Donna Bica, and Tom Hilberg.  Call 330-242-4452 for further information or visit www.medinacountyartscouncil.org.
