Youngstown, OH – The Mahoning County Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, http://www.youngstownlive.com. The new website, which is mobile friendly, offers a clean design with easy-to-navigate functionality. The extensive content is organized by Events, Visit, Stay and Dine tabs assisting not only visitors to Youngstown and Mahoning County but local residents also.
The expanded events listing on the new website provides event details with website link and Google Map information for each listing. In addition, the site now includes local community events for the month. Currently, the homepage features two feature boxes where Holiday Events and Holiday Light Displays are highlighted. “We hope our Events pages will become a great resource, not only for our visitors, but for local residents as well. We want our website to become the “go-to” source for information on what’s happening throughout Mahoning County, said Linda Macala, executive director.
The Visit tab includes information on local attractions, golf courses, wineries, performing arts, parks and recreation, family fun, shopping, sports and visitor information. Local hotels and inns/bed & breakfast are organized by geographic area as well as by name on the Stay page. The Dine page highlights the flavor of our local restaurants in Youngstown and Mahoning County, as well as the familiar tastes of national chain restaurants located here.
The highlight of the website is a new short promotional video for Youngstown & Mahoning County featuring award winning actor Ed O’Neill, world boxing champion Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, International fashion designer Nanette Lepore, and Youngstown State University President Jim Tressel and First Lady Ellen Tressel – all proud to help promote the Mahoning Valley. A full length, in-depth video highlighting all there is to do and see in Mahoning County is being completed to be included on the new website by the end of the month.
The new website also provides social media integration and direct links to the CVB’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube pages, which can be followed @YoungstownLive. Visitors to the site can also download a Visitors Guide, sign-up for a monthly e-newsletter, and contact the CVB.
