Dig Into Spring Master Gardener Seminar in Sandusky April 5

Sandusky, Ohio, March 17, 2014 — The Erie County Master Gardeners are again sponsoring an annual spring seminar on Saturday, April 5th.  Hosting the event is Corso’s Flower and Garden Center, 3404 Milan Road (U.S. 250) in Sandusky.  The seminar begins at 9 a.m. (registration starts at 8:30 a.m.) and continues through 4 p.m.  Pre-registration is required, and the seminar cost is $35, including an upscale lunch.

Three programs will be offered in the morning, including:

Tools of the Trade

2013 Insect Invasion and the Outlook for 2014

Water Features Small and Large.

The afternoon topics will resume at 1:30 p.m. with a panel discussion, with these issues:

Landscape Maintenance

Fruits & Vegetables in the Landscape

Plant Selections for Flowerbeds

Problem Spots on the Roof and around the House where Unsightly Moss Gathers

Alternatives for Overgrown Shrubs and Trees

The Master Gardener international organization, after extensive training and certification, volunteer their time to meet the mission of sharing their knowledge with community members and families.
