Rock and Roll Hall of Fame -FREE
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to host the 13th annual FREE admission day in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The museum will offer a day filled with live performances, education programs and family activities that will highlight how people use music to find their voice and create a sense of community. Visitors are invited to experience the Rock Hall’s many exhibits that showcase how Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and other artists have used popular music to communicate ideas to a wide audience and bring about social change.  For more information website.

Stop by the Nature Center anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Visit the Nature Center for scavenger hunts, seasonal craft, outdoor x-plorer packs, hiking, hands on exhibits, the Wildlife Center, live animals and much more. Naturalists are on-hand to answer all of your nature related questions and to help guide you through the day. Visit the Nature Store, refreshments are available. All activities are for all ages.

Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage – FREEmaltz

The celebration begins at 11:30am in the Museum’s Chelm Family Theatre with The Honorable Louis Stokes, U.S. Congressman from Ohio (retired). He will be interviewed by The Plain Dealer’s Brent Larkin with a Q & A session to follow. At 2pm follow us next door to The Temple-Tifereth Israel for the a performance of A Conversation Among Icons: Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and Gandhi. The one-act play portrays the conversations that ensue when Dr. King is visited by Rosa Parks and Gandhi in prison. Guided tours of our permanent collections – An American Story and The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery – and our special exhibition, TRAITOR! Spies, Lies and Justice Denied: The Dreyfus Affair, will be available throughout the day.

Severance Hall – 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Severance Hall joins the city-wide celebration of Dr. King’s life with an open house offering instrumental, vocal, and dance performances. Spend the day or spend an hour with us, during this free day of music featuring performances by community musical ensembles and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus.

International Women’s Air & Space Museumwomensair
An Afternoon with Astronaut Stephanie Wilson – FREE
Come to the museum January 20, Martin Luther King Day, to meet NASA astronaut Stephanie Wilson. Wilson, the second African American woman to go into space, will be at the museum between 1-3pm and will be sharing her experiences with guests and signing autographs.
