Sorry guys, this is for ladies only. Come join other women for exercise and camaraderie to recharge after a busy week. This month, enjoy the sights and sounds of summer in the woodlands around Rocky River Nature Center, located at 24000 Valley Parkway in Rocky River Reservation, north of Cedar Point Road in North Olmsted. Sprouts! Pre-K Program Series
Fridays, August 9 through October 4

Give your youngster a head start in appreciating nature during this eight week series of happy and healthy outdoor learning experiences. Snack and craft are included. This series is for children ages 4 to 5 years. Participants must be toilet trained. Registration and $80 fee are required by August 7. Dive-In Movie II: Bedtime Stories

Come listen to Skeeter and his magical bedtime stories at Ledge Pool! Visitors can bring blankets or chairs to sit on the lawn and enjoy the movie “Bedtime Stories.” Doors open at 8 p.m. with the movie beginning at 8:45 p.m. Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road, between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township. It’s tourist season in Bug City! Everyone can enjoy this free event with exhibits, games, and even a few bug snacks prepared by Bug Chef Gene White. Visit all the areas, get your passport stamped and have fun! Outdoor Movie

Enjoy Frank Capra’s 1938 Oscar-winning movie “You Can’t Take It With You” as part of a yearlong Look About Lodge 75th anniversary celebration. Bring a blanket or chair. Popcorn will be supplied. Mill Stream Run Reservation
Come see more than 30 vehicles and different equipment used to keep Cleveland Metroparks operational. Kids can play in a huge sandbox and bring aluminium cans for the steamroller demonstration. The first 1,500 kids will receive a free construction hat, too! Strongsville Park Operations building is located at 9485 Eastland Road in Mill Stream Run Reservation, off Valley Parkway, west of Pearl Road/Rte. 42 in Strongsville. Celebrate reptiles that live in Ohio and all around the world! Meet reptiles, make a snake necktie, play a life-sized board game and more. dogpaloozaDog Paddle & Pet-A-Palooza
Sunday, August 25 * 1 – 5 p.m.

This summer why not treat your favorite pooch to a refreshing swim at an all-dog pool party? For a nominal donation ($5 per dog), you can bring your nonaggressive dog for a dip in Ledge Pool, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Medina County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). A mini dog fair with exhibitors and vendors will also be on grounds. Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is located at 1151 Ledge Road, between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township.
